    Certificate in Business Studies (Accounting) (CBSA)

This Certificate course is specifically designed to provide a broad introduction to various accounting and business-related disciplines, which are essential to a career in any sector of the economic-public practice, industry, commerce and the financial sector.

Students will be trained and equipped with the basic technical knowledge and skills in various aspects of business studies including financial accounting, costing, administration etc. The knowledge and skills obtained will form the platform for further professional education in accountancy.
 
 

     Minimum Entrance Requirements

Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/ Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Vokasional (SPMV) as follows: -

        (i)  Pass in Bahasa Melayu, English Language and Matematik.
        (ii) 4 credit passes in any arts/science subjects.
 
 

     Education and Career Prospects

Graduates majoring in CABC and CBSA will be able to take up employment in accounting department of various types of business organisations and professional accounting offices as accounting technicians and junior financial officers, accounts assistant, assistant administration officers etc.

CABC and CBSA graduates can be promoted to the Diploma in Commerce (Financial Accounting / Management Accounting) cum ACCA / CIMA or Diploma in Business Studies (Accounting) courses.

Graduates who have successfully completed the Certificate courses may proceed to study for university degrees or professional qualifications locally or overseas.
